Raise your hand if you're a mother. Ok, now raise your hand if you are the mother of teenagers. Here's the big one, raise your hand if might not have had children if you had known how difficult teenagers can be. While my teens are often a source of delight, and yes, even amusement, I won't deny that I sometimes wish I could skip the ages from 12-20 with my kids.

As of today, 91,000 men, women, and children are awaiting a transplant. 2,000 people in Missouri and 1,000 people in Kansas are awaiting a life-saving transplant. 17 people per day or 6,205 per year die due to a lack of available organs for transplant. Gift of Life, a nonprofit organization that offers programs and information to schools, civic groups and all spiritual communities.

For many years, my three children have squeaked, tooted and plucked more sharps and flats than I can count. Despite the many sour notes I have had to endure, it has all been sweet music to my ears. Through all my kids’ musical endeavors, I have learned what does and does not work when it comes to children and music. In fact, if I knew then what I know now, I could have saved my family a lot of time, energy, and money.
