Award-winning writer Bruce Goldfarb will discuss his new book, "18 Tiny Deaths: The Untold Story of Frances Glessner Lee and the Invention of Modern Forensics." In the 1940s, Frances Glessner Lee created the Nutshell Studies of Unexplained Death, a series of 1:12 scale miniature crime scenes, to advance the study of forensic science. At a time when women were discouraged from entering scientific professions, Lee found a way to make a significant contribution to the field. Book signing to follow lecture.
