Plant and Seed Distribution - Warm Season Plants

Come pick up your warm season plants and seeds on Thursday, May 3rd, from 4 - 5:30 p.m. at the Independence Health Department (515 Liberty).

Warm Season Plants include tomatoes, peppers, eggplants, tomatillos, ground cherries and herbs.

A Kansas City Community Garden membership is required to participate in this part of the program. Memberships can be purchased at each distribution, $2 low-to-no income and $12 for everyone else, cash only. Members are entitled to receive 10 packets of seeds (your choice), a five-pound bag of fertilizer, a community gardening newsletter, discount on additional seeds and fertilizer, a discount on vegetable plants and tiller loan privileges.
