Time Travelers - Goin' to Town
Step back in time to the 1920's at Shawnee Town 1929 Museum. Today you'll be in town doing a lesson in our one room schoolhouse straight from a 1920's reader and looking at how the world has changed on a 100 year old map. You'll take orders and stock shelves in Garrett's Grocery Store. Bring your doll or teddy bear to Bousman's Barber Shop for a haircut or trim. Yes, really! Play vintage games.
Today's feature activity: 6:30 - 8 pm Leatherworking with Cornie Neufeld, retired nurse and Kansas farmer.
Time Travelers activities change every week through August 9th. There are three main programs which rotate every three weeks: Down on the Farm, In the Garden, and Goin' to Town with extra activities every time. Experience all of them this summer! Tuesdays and Thursdays 10 am - 3 pm. Select Wednesdays 6 - 8 pm.
Price: $3/adult, $1/ 5-17 year olds, under 5 FREE
