Independence Day: 1860s Style!

Spend the day exploring how Independence Day was celebrated in the 1860s with living history, hands-on activities, stagecoach rides, and historic demonstrations.
Independence Day activities may include:
-Reading of the Declaration of Independence followed by cannon fire at 12 p.m. and 2 p.m.
-Meeting Lady Columbia and Uncle Sam
-Vintage baseball games at 11 a.m. and 1 p.m.
-Blacksmith and cookstove demonstrations
-Tours of the Mahaffie Farmhouse
-Stagecoach rides
-Ice cream, root beer, and root beer floats available for purchase
$9/adult, $7/child (ages 5–11); ages 4 and under are free. Olathe residents receive $2 off.
