The Daniel Academy
The Daniel Academy (TDA) is a Christian private non-profit school in Kansas City, Missouri. TDA started in serving students from grades K-12 in 2007, but has since established Pre-K and Daniel Daycare. We meet in classrooms with instructors 4 x days per week (Monday through Thursday) and then students work at home with parents on Fridays. Our vision is to raise up students who want to go into the world and bring the Lord’s heart and ways to all areas. We train our students in both spiritual and academic excellence and prepare to launch them to impact the world, using their gifts to serve others wherever they go.
Our hope and vision is to see God raise up a generation of leaders, who will transform the heart of our nation. In the book of Daniel, the Bible gives us the archetypical reformer, a bearer of light in a world of darkness. The Daniel Academy is a school dedicated to the raising up of these modern day ‘kings’ and ‘queens’. God is calling a generation of students to stand, when everyone else is bowing down; to live set apart and wholly committed to God, fully equipped and ready to bring God’s heart and Kingdom into all of society. To that end, TDA is committed to develop these 4 x Pillars: Prayer, Excellence, Consecration, and Marvelous Friendships.
The Daniel Academy partners with families in the education process, allowing parents to directly participate at the school with their children. TDA also places an emphasis on community and support for one another.
- We worship and pray together – Every morning we start with our morning assembly. A moment to connect with the Lord before our day begins. We also host youth retreats, worship nights, and quarterly prayer events.
- We study together – High school students have access to a multitude of Advanced Placement (AP) and dual credit courses. We partner with Summit Technology Academy (STA) and require our graduating seniors to participate in an out of school internship related to the field that they want to pursue.Â
- We have fun together – Extra-curricular activities help round out our offerings. We have school soccer, basketball, volleyball, baseball, track, and cross country teams. Students can also choose to do drama and/or musical theater.Â
- We build together – We are in midst of an incredibly exciting new construction project. We broke ground earlier this year on a 33,000 square foot new building that will feature a large gym, 12 x new classrooms, and a soccer field. Projected completion date is June of 2027!
