Being a Kid Again

     My kids enjoyed opening a few early Christmas gifts over the weekend.  That’s how I found myself on the floor playing with Trio blocks, Legos, and other fun new toys.  As I did, I thought about how being a parent definitely provides one with an excuse to do all sorts of fun things.  (And some not so fun things.  But, that's for another post!)

     Now, I realize that I could still buy toys and play with them even if I didn’t have children, but I’m pretty certain I wouldn’t.  Neither would I sit down at the table with Play-doh or coloring books.  I might check out the latest Disney movie, but I’d probably wait until it was available to rent.  From sledding to playing make-believe, and of course being goofy in public, my children provide me with all sorts of opportunities to be a kid once more.

     I love my kiddos for many reasons and having such fun with them is definitely one of those reasons!  What do you like to do with your children?
