Shopping at Crown Center

Shop a variety of shops and enjoy many great restaurants at Crown Center. Ice Skating at the Ice Terrace, crafts at Kaleidoscope, live shows, and a visit with Santa at his gingerbread village are all musts when visiting this local holiday landmark. The Mayor's Christmas tree, a 100-foot tree will illuminate the city throughout the holidays and acts as a symbol for the Mayor’s Christmas Tree Fund, which benefits the Kansas City’s less fortunate residents. After the holidays, the wood from the tree is repurposed to be commemorative ornaments, which are sold the following year to benefit the Mayor’s Christmas Tree Fund.

MOPS Holiday Mart

Oct. 24 from 6:30-8:30pm at Country Club Christian Church, 6101 Ward Parkway, Kansas City, MO. Get your holiday shopping done early while supporting our MOPS (Mothers of Preschoolers) group. Vendors will be selling jewelry, clothing, food, children’s gifts, personal care, and much more. 

STM Holiday Market

Oct. 26 & 27, St. Thomas More School, 11800 Holmes, Kansas City, MO. Shop over 40 vendors with lots of gift worthy items on your list and some pampering for you too! Friday, 10/26 will be the VIP social from 6-9:00 pm. A $20 entry fee will get you a door prize ticket, a raffle ticket and food and drinks. Fall Harvest Art & Craft Show

Holly Festival

Black Friday at Legends Outlets

Nov. 23, Legends Outlets Kansas City, 1800 Village W Pkwy, Kansas City, KS. For the third consecutive year, Legends Outlets has decided to close its doors on Thanksgiving Day. While some retailers may choose to continue operations on Nov. 22, the center will close and officially reopen for Black Friday shopping on Nov. 23 at 6 a.m. Black Friday will include giveaways, holiday entertainment, special savings and more. Small Business Saturday Crawl

Nov. 24 from 10am-4pm, Waldo Business District, Kansas City, MO. The Waldo Business Association on behalf of the Waldo Community Improvement District is hosting a Small Business Saturday Shopping Crawl coinciding with the national campaign by American Express to promote small businesses across the country.  The Waldo Neighborhood is home to some of the best restaurants, shops, and bars in the Kansas City area. Visitors can expect a great day of shopping and dining local this holiday season. Visitors can earn free Waldo Bucks during the event. Shoppers may start anywhere along the route by picking up a Small Business Saturday Crawl Passport at any participating store. When they visit 10 participating businesses, they will receive $10 in *Waldo Bucks. Additionally, when they spend $50 at participating businesses they will get an additional $10 in *Waldo Bucks. Small Business Saturday

C.W. Parker Carousel Museum's Annual Children's Small Mall

Dec. 1 & 2, C.W. Parker Carousel Museum, 320 S. Esplanade, Leavenworth, KS. This popular event for children between 3 & 13 years old to do their own holiday shopping for family and friends in a secure environment. Parents pay $3, $5 or $7 for each gift on the child's gift list. With the guidance of our Elves your little shopper can select gifts for women, men, teens, kids and infants. Our wide selection of gifts include jewelry, novelty items, toys, stuffed animals, sweets and so much more. The selected gifts are then wrapped, labeled and ready to be placed under the tree. LPRD’s Annual Holiday Extravaganza

Holiday Marketplace at Roeland Park Community Center

Dec. 8, Roeland Park Community Center, 4850 Rosewood Dr., Roeland Park, KS. The Holiday Marketplace is open to shoppers of all ages. Children will enjoy a visit from Santa, holiday crafts, and a special shopping experience to find the perfect gift for any member of their family. Volunteers will be on hand to help kids purchase presents for family and friends and assist in the wrapping to keep the gifts a surprise. All gifts available for purchase will be $15 or less and there will be a free gift wrap station. Gingerbread house making and lunch available for purchase. Elves' Workshop

Dec. 15 & 16, Martha Lafite Thompson Nature Sanctuary, 407 N. La Frenz Rd, Liberty, MOCelebrate the holidays with a visit to the Elves’ Workshop! Children are invited to visit the Nature Center for face painting, treats, crafts, Santa and more! The Elves’ Holiday Store will be open for children only. Parents, please provide a list of gift recipients and shopping money. The Elves will help your child choose the perfect gift for friends or family members. Gifts are wrapped and labeled compliments of the Elves. While the children are shopping, adults can browse in our gift shop, relax in the exhibit area, and snack on holiday treats. Cost: $3/child or $2/child member to participate. Gift prices range from less than $1 to $25.
