Shelter Dog Month: Wayside Waifs is Kansas City’s no kill animal shelter. They offer volunteer opportunities for families of teens 13-15 with a parent or those 16 and up individually.

Cookie Month: McLain’s Bakery has been serving delicious baked goods, including cookies, to local customers since 1945. Famous for their chocolate cup cookies, they offer goodies that are a delicious way to celebrate Cookie Month.
