Leaving On A Jet Plane

In just one short week, my husband and I will be leaving on a jet plane with our 15 month old for the first time. The anxiety for this moment is already creeping in on me. How will I possibly get our walking 15 month old to sit still for a plane ride?!? Now, I would have to say that my daughter has a very good, easy going nature about her. She is pleasant to be around, reasonably calm, and likes to observe things around her. However, she will still want to move around.

Now that we are a week away, I am starting to prepare my husband for the plane rides. Yes, there will probably be moments where our daughter will not want to sit still, or read Brown Bear for the 5th time, or look at that same toy again. Yes, she will have her moments, I'm sure of it. So I'm just trying to prepare myself and my husband for when that moment will come, so that we can remain calm, and get through it without making enemies all around us.

In the meantime, I am getting my packing list put together, and trying to think of creative things to bring for my daughter to play with on the plane. I'm going to borrow some toys from a friend so that our daughter will have something "new" and "interesting" to play with rather than the same old same-olds. My husband has considered borrowing a portable DVD player from his brother so that we can play Baby Einstein. I'm also packing foam stickers and paper, plus tissue paper for her to practice tearing.

Any other unique suggestions on what to bring to keep the attention of a 15 month old on a plane?
