Get Paid to Shop
I love to shop on-line, but will admit that those “shipping & handling” charges just make me grit my teeth. If they are too high, I will go elsewhere to find what I am looking for. This year, I am finding so many exceptions to these rules.
Merchants know that the economy is bad and so they are doing anything and everything they can to lure people to shop with them. Most of them are offering discounts through shopping codes on line. But, how do you get these?
The easiest way to find them is to go through a site called Retailmenot.com. Just type in the name of the store where you plan to shop and you will be able to look at the current codes that work to save you money and/or provide you with free shipping. Just make a note of the code you want to use and read on to find out how you can actually make money while you shop.
There are sites that actually provide cash rebates when you shop. The two that are most reputable are Shop at Home and Ebates. What I love about these two sites is that you get $5.00 instantly credited to your account when you sign up. Then, if you make a purchase within 90 days, you get that paid to you, in addition to the amount of your rebates. You do have to accumulate $20.00 in your account first, but there is nothing like getting a check in the mail paying you back just for shopping!
You can actually stack your codes and rebates and make it really work towards your advantage. Read on to learn how you could work a great deal at Kohl's. (The double rebate offer is good only on December 10th).
First of all, go to Shop at Home and get signed up. Once you do, search for Kohl’s. Click the link and go to the store. December 10th is double rebate day, so you will earn 8% of what you spend back, in cash. The normal rate is 4% back.
You will shop like usual. If you spend under $100, you can use the code EXTRA15OFF* and you will get 15% off of your total purchase. If you happen to spend more than $100, the code BUYSAVE20* will save you 20% off of your order. If you happen to spend $100.00 or more, you will get free shipping in ADDITION to these discounts! Oh, and don’t forget that for every $50.00 you spend, you can get $10.00 in Kohl’s Cash**.
So, if you happen to put $120.00 into your cart, it will cost you only $100.00 (after discount). You also will not pay for any shipping. In addition, Kohl’s will give you $20.00 back in Kohl’s cash. Shop at Home will pay you $8.00 for shopping. So, the $100.00 out of your pocket is actually like paying only $72.00!!
