Potato Digging Tips
- You are DIGGING Potatoes - dress for the mess! Some farms ask that you bring a shovel.
- Read our Lawrence Kansas Day Trip Tips for more fun while you're there!
- Remember comfortable shoes (you will be walking in fields) and wear sun screen.
- Call ahead to verify times as it varies from farm to farm. This is a MUST!
- Bring bottled water and pack a picnic if the farm allows.
- And, don’t forget your camera… children playing in the dirt make a great photo-op!

- Friday, July 5th, 2013: "One day a year we offer the chance to dig-your-own potatoes! This is a fun activity with kids, and they can see how the potato grows. DYO potatoes are $1.25 a pound. Also, Pick-Your-Own Green Beans The green beans are just starting, so we will again be offering pick-your-own green beans on shares. You pick the green beans, leave 1/2 with us, and your 1/2 is FREE! We will continue to have beans coming on, so if you can't make it out this Friday, we will have them for a number of weeks. We would also suggest coming early on Friday, as we will pick out quickly."

So when you come out for our U Dig Potatoes you can also pull your own Sweet Onions! Potatoes will be $1.25/lb and sweet onions are 1.00/lb."
