New Home Traditions

I'm looking for ideas, inspiration and traditions for moving and new homes. We're about to move into a new home. We believe it will be our "forever home" where we will raise our family.

We're already planning "last night here" Pizza night and the girls are excited about the first day at the new house.

Other ideas:

• My husband wants to plant a small dogwood tree in the yard and watch it grow over the years.
• We'll track the girls' height on the wall in the kitchen. 
• We made silhouettes of the girls at their present ages for the kitchen wall.
• The Rec Room will be the family art wall and thanks to an idea from Pinterest - I found a super cute way to do that (I'll share when it's done!).
