BEST Homemade Bubble Solution:
Ingredients
- 4 1/2 c. water
- 1/2 c. liquid dishsoap (brand name is best)
- 4 tsp. sugar.
How To - Measure water first, then add soap (if you measure soap first and add running water, you will have dish suds). Tip: Make overnight allowing the mixture time to set and use the next day for bigger bubbles.
BEST Homemade Playdough:
Ingredients
- 1 c. flour
- 1 c. water
- 2 tsp. cream of tarter
- 1/3 c. salt
- 1 tbsp vegetable oil
- liquid food coloring of your choice.
How To - Mix all ingredients well (except food coloring) in a medium saucepan. Cook over low heat and stir constantly. As it thickens, add the food coloring. Stir until dough is thick and no longer wet, then remove from pan and place on a plate to cool. Once cool, knead dough gently until ready to play. Store in sealed container.
Homemade Jolly Rancher Lollipops:
Ingredients / Materials
- Hard Jolly Ranchers
- cookie sheet
- aluminum foil
- parchment paper
- lollipop or popsicle sticks.
How To - Preheat oven to 275°F. Line cookie sheet with a piece of aluminum foil and then a piece of parchment paper on top of it. Unwrap and place Jolly Ranchers together in groups of two or three. Leave enough space in that they won't melt together and so that have room to place a stick in them as they soften. Place the baking sheet into the preheated oven and let the Jolly Ranchers get to where they have melted slightly together.... 6 minutes (still you should watch them closely around 5 minutes). Then, have an adult remove from the oven and quickly twist the sticks into the melted Jolly Ranchers before the candies harden.
Easy Breezy Homemade Pudding Pops:
Ingredients / Materials
- Instant pudding mix
- milk (per instructions on pudding mix)
- mixing bowl (recommend bowl with a pour spout or a pitcher)
- whisk
- popsicle molds.
How To - Make instant pudding according to instructions. Once thoroughly mixed, before it begins to set, pour into popsicle molds. Freeze (up to three hours). Enjoy!m
Homemade Orange Julius:
Ingredients
- 6 oz. can of frozen orange juice concentrate, thawed
- 1 c. whole milk
- 1 c. water
- 1/4 c. sugar
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 8 ice cubes.
How To - Blend all ingredients in blender until smooth and creamy. Pour into glasses and drink with straws.
