Douglas County Fair
When: July 30 – Aug. 8
Where: 2110 Harper, Lawrence
How much: Free admission & parking; fees for some activities
What to do: Petting zoo, pony rides, demolition derby, tractor show, live concerts, turtle races, carnival, tractor pull and more.

Miami County Fair
When: July 24-31
Where: 401 E. Wallace Park Dr., Paola
How much: Free admission & parking; fees for some activities
What to do: Youth rodeo, carnival, races, parade, demolition derby, bike derby, dog show, horse show, pancake breakfast, concerts and more.
Johnson County Fair
When: Aug. 2-7
Where: 136 E. Washington, Gardner
How much: Free admission & parking; fees for some activities
What to do: Dog show, youth rodeo, carnival, concerts, goat milking, police & fire demonstrations, bull blast, barrel racing, parade and demolition derby.
Missouri State Fair
When: Aug. 12-22
Where: 2503 W. 16th St., Sedalia
How much: One day pass $8/adult, $2/children 6-12, FREE/children 5 and under, $6/seniors 60+, FREE parking. Ticket fee for concerts and some activities.
Specials: Opening Day (Aug. 12) - $2 admission all day (ages 6 and up)
Thrifty Thursday (Aug. 19) - $4 admission all day (ages 13 and up); $1 ages 6-12.
Half Price Day (Aug. 22) - $4 admission all day (ages 13 and up); $1 ages 6-12.
Five After Five (Aug. 15-19) - $5 admission after 5:00.
What to do: Free circus under the big top, comedy shows, rodeos, animal shows, races, tractor pulls, bull riding and headlining concerts from Colbie Caillat, Sheryl Crow, Katharine McPhee, Montgomery Gentry, Three Dog Night and more!

Platte County Fair
When: July 21-24
Where: Platte County Fairgrounds, Tracy, MO
How Much: Kids 12 and under FREE. $10/adults; free parking.
What to Do: Carnival, petting zoo, 4H events, talent shows, horse and mule show, demolition derby, truck and tractor pull.
Leavenworth County Fair
