Mother's Day Tea Party May 7 from 2-5pm at Spring Hill Civic Center Reception Room, 401 N. Madision, Spring Hill, KS $20 per person. Come out and celebrate the important women in your life with our Second Annual Mother's Day Celebration! This year we will have tea, juice, small snacks, and will be doing a guided painting from Kansas City artist, Heather Collinsworth.

Tartan Tea May 7 from 2-4pm at Central United Methodist Church, 5144 Oak street, Kansas City, MO. $25/ea. Join the Kansas City Saint Andrew Highland Dance Association at the 2016 Tartan Tea! Mother's Day at The Nelson-Atkins May 8 at Nelson-Atkins Musuem of Art, 4525 Oak Street, Kansas City. Enjoy the premier performance of The Mermaid’s Tail (Tale), the 10th Annual Mother’s Day for Mother Earth by StoneLion Puppet Theatre. Stay to meet the enormous puppets on the lawn of the Donald J. Hall Sculpture Park. Plan ahead if you’d like to make a brunch reservation in Rozzelle Court Restaurant or purchase picnic options in Bloch Lobby, from noon - 4pm. Performance begins at 2:00pm, meet the puppets 2:30pm - 3:00pm.

Celebrating President Truman's Birthday with President Truman May 8, 2016 at Harry S. Truman Library and Museum 500 W. US Hwy. 24,Independence, MO. The Buck Stops Here! In honor of President Truman's birthday (May 8, 1884), admission to the Harry S. Truman Library and Museum will be just $1 all day. And in honor of Mother's Day, all mothers will receive free admission. Beginning at 1:30 pm and ending when the last piece is served, Truman Library volunteers will be serving birthday cake and punch to museum visitors. Mr. Truman, as portrayed by re-enactor Niel Johnson, will be on hand to receive birthday wishes and greet visitors from 1:30 - 3:30 pm.

Say, “Cheese!” We want to take your family picture on Mother’s Day, Sunday, May 8, while your family is all dressed up for mom. We will have mini photography studios set up in the lobbies outside the Worship Center with photographers ready to take your free family picture. The studios will be open from 8:45 a.m.-12:45 p.m. A few days later, you will be able to download your pictures from our website and make as many copies as you like.
