Liberty, MO, is home to Carolyn’s Country Cousins, one of the largest pumpkin patches in the region. With a jack-o’-lantern jumping pillow, pig races, petting zoo, peddle karts, train rides, panning for gold, creative play spaces, live entertainment and fall-themed fun, this is a favorite fall tradition. Historic Downtown Liberty is home to the Jesse James Bank Museum, site of the first recorded daytime bank robbery. On the square, enjoy local cafes, boutiques and shops. For entertainment, catch a live show at the Corbin Theatre, where you can enjoy musical theater, live music and stage shows. And enjoy the Liberty Symphony, whose annual holiday concert is a family tradition for many Northlanders.

Shoal Creek Living History Museum features 20 structures, including clapboard houses, a school, antebellum brick mansion home, a church and log cabins. Covering more than 80 acres of beautiful rolling hills, the site brings 19th-century Missouri to life through special events, programs, tours and reenactments. Winter sports are beloved in Kansas City. You can take a spin on the ice at one of the local rinks, including Line Creek Ice Rink and Linden Square Ice Rink in Gladstone. In November, families compete in turkey bowling on the ice at Line Creek Arena.

The Village at Briarcliff in the Northland, with Tuscan-style architecture, offers spectacular views of Downtown Kansas City and an upscale-boutique shopping and dining experience. From Nell Hill’s to Made in KC, Lillian’s, to BoutiqueCollective, the village offers a variety of clothing, decorating, and boutique-style shops. Piroposserves authentic Argentinian cuisine, Trezo Mare is a favorite for Italian dining and you will find plenty of casual dining options as well. With spas, salons, event spaces and even Pinot’s Palette, a painting experience, there is a lot to see and do. Throughout the year, enjoy Ladies Night Out events, Fall OpenHouse, Holiday Open House and shopping specials.
