Often mentioned as the “casual neighborhood joint,” this restaurant isn’t just serving good vibes, it’s also dishing out good food. Next up is not only a local favorite, but also a Food Network dive. Some people call it their fave, but it’s nationally known as the Brick. This crowd pleaser has great food, great drinks and even better entertainment. This not-so-traditional diner is great for adults and singles alike. Whether you want to have an intimate conversation upstairs or have a beer and play life-size Connect Four, this is a place to do it. The Green Lady Lounge features live music from local jazz musicians from all over the greater Kansas City metro area, from amazing bass players to some of the most talented saxophonists. The lounge is a great place for dates, singles and any adult who loves live music.

This list wouldn’t be complete without a Kansas City staple. That’s right, a good old-fashioned dry rub barbecue. According to the crowd, Charbar serves them up just right. The Charbar stands firmly behind their low and slow tradition, but that’s not the only thing they stand behind. The Charbar also stands behind good food and having a good time. With games like croquet, bocce ball, ping pong and corn hole, you’re sure to leave with a full belly and a smile on your face. Now this company is bottling, selling and shipping all over the nation. Known for their whiskey but even more for their story and tours, Rieger’s is a Kansas City classic must-see. Follow the crew while they create some of the world’s finest concoctions and learn lots of history along the way.
