It's Fun to Buy with a Group!

Have you heard of group buying power?  There are a bunch of new sites popping up that take advantage of group buying power to allow members to get restaurant, shopping, entertainment, spa deals, and more at a deep discount.  You simply MUST check out these sites and sign up for their daily emails to find out what the newest deals are.  I, for one, am totally addicted! 

The way it works is simple.  You go to one of these sites to see their deal of the day.  If it is something you are interested in, you purchase a coupon/voucher from the site that you can print and take to the retailer to be redeemed (or redeem online).  Usually the discount is at least 50% off, so you are spending $10 for a $20 voucher.  I have used these types of sites and never had any problems redeeming my coupons. 

Groupon:  This site is the most well known of the bunch and probably for that reason, it has some of the best deals.  In the last few months I have gotten meals at Blanc Burger for 50% off, toys at US Toy for 50% off, Gap clothing for 50% off, jewelry for more than 50% off from an Esty shop, and there are so many more deals that are worth checking out.  If you haven't signed up yet, NOW is the time!!  Go here and sign up to get their daily email and enjoy the deals that come your way!

Living Social:  This site is pretty much identical to Groupon, but is new to the KC Area.  I have noticed more spa/salon deals on this site, which is nice for those of us that need some pampering!

Deal Bug:  This is a similar concept as the other two, but with an added element of giving to a good cause.  When you purchase a voucher from Deal Bug, they will donate to a charity of your choosing.  This is a locally based company and most deals seem to be coming from the Lee's Summit area so far.

An added bonus to Groupon and Living Social, you can get credits for referring friends, so once you develop a love for these hot deals, pass them on to your friends and you will be able to get even more deals for yourself!
