Meet KC Wolf

by

KCP: Three things EVERY Kansas City visitor should experience:

K.C. Wolf: I love Worlds of Fun. The best ride is the Patriot, and Oceans of Fun is always a blast too. The Legends is terrific… T- Rex Café, shopping and my personal favorite, Great Wolf Lodge! But, a visit to Kansas City is incomplete without tailgating and cheering for the Chiefs at Arrowhead!

KCP: Where do you find the best Pizza?

K.C. Wolf: I love having pizza at Paradise Park because it’s so much fun! I love to ride the go-karts, play in the foam factory, miniature golf and hang out.

KCP: Everyone knows Kansas City is famous for barbecue… what’s your fave?

K.C. Wolf: Jack Stack all the way!

KCP: Who makes the best donuts?

K.C. Wolf: Lamar’s is a great Kansas City tradition.

KCP: What is your favorite autumn hangout in KC when you’re not at Arrowhead?

K.C. Wolf: I love Louisburg Cider Mill where they make apple cider right before your eyes, or Carolyn’s Country Cousins Pumpkin Patch-- choosing the perfect pumpkin, riding the train and enjoying all the fun activities.

KCP: What is your favorite KC Christmas tradition?

K.C. Wolf: I kick off the holiday season the day before Thanksgiving with Christmas in the Sky, fireworks and music on Christmas in the Park’s opening night.

KCP: What is your favorite children’s book?

K.C. Wolf: The True Story of the 3 Little Pigs by A. Wolf written by Jon Scieszka. He was kind enough to present the other side to the story and learn what really happened.

KCP: How do you build up enthusiasm at the game?

K.C. Wolf: I just go out and have fun. I love to think of ideas. One of my favorites is putting a spider on a fishing pole and dangling it in front of fans to startle them.

KCP: Do you have any other outfits?

K.C. Wolf: I dress up a lot. I have a collection of superhero outfits, a tuxedo for weddings, Hawaiian shirts, cowboy costumes, an Elvis jumpsuit and more.

KCP: What would you say to kids participating in sports?

K.C. Wolf: Always remember: #1) Have fun. #2) Do your best. #3) Show good sportsmanship. Be respectful of your teammates, opponents and the team officials. It’s nice to be important, but it’s more important to be nice.

KCP: What was your most memorable experience at Arrowhead?

K.C. Wolf: Arrowhead is where I proposed to my wife. I took her to the empty stadium on a Tuesday night and told her I needed to work. Then, my scoreboard friend flipped it on with, “Welcome to Arrowhead.” Then it displayed a picture of us and “Will you marry me? Please?” She said yes and we’ve been living happily ever after for 17 years.

KCP: What is the best advice you can offer to KC kids?

K.C. Wolf: Life is like a coin, you can spend it any way you wish – but you only get to spend it once, so spend it wisely.
