Playtime at Kanga's Indoor Playcenter and Cafe

Kanga's Indoor Playcenter in Independence is one of the newest indoor attractions for young children in the metro. We recently visited the Playcenter to check it out - and the kids give this delightful attraction two thumbs up.

Kanga's is open seven days a week from 9am-6pm offering clean, safe, fun indoor play kids love. With a large open space with tables and chairs for parents to visit, work, read or eat, and great play spaces for kids, Kanga's is a blast for young children.

• You may come and go throughout the day (even taking a lunch or nap break).
• Admission for ages 13 and up is FREE! This makes Kanga's a great spot to meet friends or grandparents. Let the kids play while the adults visit.
• Admission for infants 12 months and under is FREE!
• Purchase a multi-visit pass for the best value.
• They offer Early Bird Admission on weekdays!
• Socks are required for children. They sell socks on-site.
• This is a great venue to visit on bad-weather days when the kids need a spot to get the wiggles out.
• This is also a great venue to visit on great-weather days when it's less crowded!
• They offer parties and special events for holidays and seasonal fun all year long.

Some of the great attractions at Kanga's Indoor Playcenter include:

The Giant Tunnel Obstacle Course! Our kids spent most of their playtime playing hide and seek and tag in the tunnels and slides. They loved the giant obstacle course for its wide variety of fun features.

The Climbing Walls! The climbing walls are used with a secure harness and are a fun way for kids to build self-confidence and demonstrate courage. There are four walls with different levels of challenge for each.

The kids LOVED the fast-moving giant slides!

The Foam Blasters! The air-compressed system allows kids to fire foam balls at one another or collect them into a center dump basket while the balls rain on their heads. This was a safe and fun way for the kids to enjoy a bit of friendly competition.

The Pirate Ship Ride. This classic carnival ride offers a gentle swing and is a great introduction to amusement rides for kids.

The Moonbounce! Bouncing... need we say more!

A Tiny Tot Play Space. This charming play space is ideal for toddlers and gives them a safe space to play while older children explore the larger areas.
