• A Day at the Lake

  Enjoy a day of canoeing, stand-up paddle-boarding, kayaking, sailing or pedal-boating at Shawnee Mission Park Lake. The facility offers daily rentals so you can enjoy summer fun!   Gardening is a perfect summer hobby for the family, and Shawnee’s Family Tree Nursery has everything for your gardening and landscaping needs. The Shawnee store also houses Café Equinox, a botanically inspired café where you can enjoy a wide range of Thou Mayest coffee drinks, local KC pastries and more. This modern gardening center is a local favorite.

• Incredible Pizza

  NOTE: Out of Business as of 7/14/2022. Family fun is the name of the game at America’s Incredible Pizza, the ’50s-themed attraction with a giant buffet, more than 80 arcade games, indoor glow-in-the-dark go-karts, laser tag, ropes course, Lost in Space and more. • Oh Pioneer!

  Pioneer Crossing Park is a local landmark. The masterpiece of the park is the native limestone and bronze statue by local artist Charles Goslin depicting a pioneer, Dick Williams, a wagon master on the wagon train commemorating the 150th anniversary of California Road. The park also offers beautiful trails and picnic spaces, perfect for summer adventure.

• Outdoor Theater

  Shawnee’s Theatre in the Park is a beloved summer tradition. Bring your lawn chair and picnic and enjoy live community musical theater on an outdoor stage. • Step Back in Time

  Visit the Shawnee Town 1929 Museum and enjoy a trip back to the 1920s with an interactive day at this historic truck farm or recreated Shawnee downtown, every Tuesday and Thursday this summer. Enjoy fan-favorite activities like farmstead laundry, tending the garden and grocery shopping, along with NEW special activities and a different theme featured each week!
