The Gift of Glasses

At The EyeDoctors, serving 18 Kansas locations, our team of Optometrists strive to provide each patient with a personalized plan for the best vision possible. We use the latest technology available in spectacle and contact lenses to adapt to each patient’s unique vision needs. In addition to providing the best care for our patients, we also strive to give back. One way The EyeDoctors give back is through The Gift of Glasses. If you participate in The Gift of Glasses, either by donating a pair of used glasses or by purchasing a pair from The EyeDoctors you will be entered in a drawing to win a FREE pair of glasses for a member of your family.

How to Enter:

Bring a used pair of glasses in good condition to one of The EyeDoctors locations where you'll be entered in a drawing for a free pair, OR purchase a pair of glasses at The EyeDoctors and they will donate a pair to The Gift of Glasses and enter your name in the drawing for another pair of glasses. Offer valid through 10/31/15. Remember to mention KC Parent magazine when you enter!

What is the Gift of Glasses?

The Gift of Glasses is an initiative began by The EyeDoctors to help those in our local communities and abroad to have life changing vision. For every pair of glasses purchased at The EyeDoctors, one pair is donated to an individual in need.

How can I help?

If you are a patient of The EyeDoctors and purchase your eyewear with us, you are already doing your part! If you would like to donate directly to help out with the cause, please visit the VOSH Southeast website where you will be able to give a tax deductible donation.

Who are the Glasses Donated To?

The EyeDoctors Gift of Glasses helps thousands each year

Local: The EyeDoctors provides a voucher for free eyecare and glasses for persons experiencing financial hardship in Northeast Kansas communities where The EyeDoctors offices are located.

Regional: The EyeDoctors partners with VOSH (Volunteer Optometric Services to Humanity) to distribute free glasses to local churches, homeless groups, and veteran groups as well as non-profit work force training centers.

International: The EyeDoctors also donates pairs of glasses to VOSH approved mission trips to Nicaragua, Haiti, Peru, Trinidad, and the Dominican Republic to be given out free to those in need. The glasses are distributed through VOSH Southeast chapter, a 501 (c)(3) charity.

What if I know someone in need of Glasses?

If you know of someone in need, have them contact the local screening agency partnering with The EyeDoctors’ Gift of Glasses program in their community or contact The EyeDoctors location nearest you for further direction.
