Nov. 11, Veterans Day: Celebrate at the National World War I Museum and Memorial (100 W. 26th St., Kansas City, MO, 816.888.8100) with a ceremony commemorating America’s veterans.

Nov. 16, Have a Party with Your Bear Day: Visit the National Museum of Toys & Miniatures (816.235.8000), where exhibits celebrate favorite childhood playthings. You’ll find teddy bears throughout the museum—even in miniature in dollhouses.
