Roanoke Park, Kansas City, Mo. — You’ll find a zig-zagging concrete sidewalk near the tennis courts at Roanoke Park. This unique path offers plenty of entertainment for anyone on wheels! Additionally, the park has mountain bike trails that wind past woodlands, springs and limestone formations.
Longview Lake Park, Kansas City, Mo. — A 6.5-mile bike trail meanders through this park, offering picturesque views of lush foliage, diverse wildlife and the beautiful Longview Lake. Stop by one of the park’s shelters to enjoy a picnic lunch before heading back. Better yet, pitch a tent at the campground and turn your visit into an overnight vacation!
Cedar Niles Park, Olathe — Boasting over 1,000 acres of natural beauty, Cedar Niles Park is a truly enchanting place to visit. Its paved, multi-use trail will take you on a 4-mile route past streams, woods and wildflowers. If your kids are old enough to handle a more challenging ride, head over to the 4.5-mile mountain bike trail, which is of medium difficulty. As an added bonus, all three park access points have a fix-it station for bicycles.

Lexington Lake Park, De Soto — This gorgeous area is home to prairies, woods and over 120 native plant species. A 1.6-mile paved path encircles the lake, providing an ideal place for cycling and scootering. If you prefer a more rugged adventure, you’ll enjoy the 9-mile network of mountain bike trails. The paths vary in difficulty, so check the park’s maps to determine the best route for your family.
