La Fetta Delicatessen’s Sublime
Have you ever eaten a sandwich so good that, before you even finish it, you are already planning what to order during your next visit? That was my experience at La Fetta Delicatessen.
The Overland Park deli serves sandwiches named after iconic musicians and bands. I ordered the Sublime, a spicy Italian sandwich featuring prosciutto, hot soppressata, burrata, fresh walnut pesto, spicy garlic aioli, sun-dried tomatoes and arugula.
The ingredients worked beautifully together without becoming overwhelming. The sandwich was fresh, unexpected and a fitting tribute to its namesake.
I do not usually like arugula, but the Sublime might be my new favorite sandwich in Kansas City.
