Wildwood gives Kansas City kids the classic camp experience: canoeing, swimming, climbing, tie-dye, campfires, and big outdoor adventures, while helping them grow confidence, independence, and lasting friendships. With financial assistance, free transportation, and caring staff, Wildwood makes summer unforgettable and accessible for every child.
At Wildwood, summer is more than a break from school, it’s a season of growth, independence, and pure joy. Located just outside Kansas City on 150 acres of forest, lake, and adventure-ready outdoor space, Wildwood is where kids aged 7–18 unplug from screens, connect with nature, and discover what they’re capable of.
Safety is our top priority. Wildwood is accredited by the American Camp Association and follows more than 300 strict program and safety standards. Our staff are trained, supported by mental health professionals, and committed to creating a safe, inclusive environment where every child can thrive. At Wildwood, kids don’t just have fun. They grow, explore, and discover who they can be. They return home with new friends, new confidence, and lifelong memories.
