Our family loves watching Christmas films together. I love Mickey's Christmas Carol and Charlie Brown Christmas. I also love old movies, so Christmas in Connecticut, White Christmas, A Christmas Carol, Little Women, It's a Wonderful Life, and Meet Me in St. Louis (this film celebrates all seasons, but introduces Judy Garland's Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas) are some of our favorites. We also watch a lot of Hallmark Christmas movies and play Hallmark Christmas B-I-N-G-O together when during the films. We use M&Ms for Bingo chips and "dessert" after the movie. ~ Kristina Light, Digital Media Manager KCParent.com
These readers shared memories of their favorites:
- "Polar Express in PJ'S with homemade hot cocoa!" ~ Tricia S.
- "As a kid I remember watching Bambi every Christmas and being grateful I had my parents and siblings. I was always sad I didn’t have a big family - no grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins - but I had my immediate family and felt sorry for Bambi losing his mom and for those who didn’t have family. Now, my husband, kids and I enjoy all the Home Alone movies, The Santa Clause movies, The Grinch with Jim Carrey...there are so many!" ~ Pamela D.
- "National Lampoons Christmas Vacation that the kids refer to as "The Ladder Movie" as that is their favorite scene!" ~ Allie Y.
