Two weeks. That's how long Christmas Break was. For those of you who know me or have read my blogs in the past, you know that I much prefer to have my girls home with me than at school. So I look forward to and relish the time off from school for holidays and summer. But, I have to tell you, these past two weeks just about did me in. And it didn't really have anything to do with the girls, just life. In no particular order it included:
- a visit to the emergency room
- an ear infection for Ally
- a bout with the stomach flu for Ty
- car problems (auto door on van isn't working)
- being caught in the DEC tornado in St. Louis on New Year's Eve
And that's on top of all the Christmas activities, gift exchanges, dinners, parties and general merry-making that typically makes up the two week break. Whew. I say "uncle" and am ready for things slow down and get back to normal (whatever that may be).
