21st Annual Kaw Valley Farm Tour

A self-guided tour to visit Northeast Kansas farms & meet the farmers behind it all.
Saturday, October 4: 9:00 am – 5:00 pm
Sunday, October 5: 11:00 am – 4:00 pm
Fall is a great time to get out into the country and see new things, visit new places, and feel the change of the season. And the Kaw Valley Farm Tour happening this Saturday and Sunday is a truly unique way to do just that
Do you like baby goats, rescued donkeys, free range chickens, apple orchards, kune kune pigs, honeybees, Scottish Highland cattle, persimmon trees, paw paw forest, pumpkin patches, hay rides, inspiring garden techniques, flowers in a maze that you can cut, kids art in a garden, logs inoculated with mushroom spawn and mycorrhizae around orchard trees, Nigerian Dwarf Fainter goats, native plant gardens, mums, a straw palace you can climb, an urban farm school, new born calves, super productive tiny urban yard with ducks and rabbits, turkeys, protected prairies, nursery plants, medicinal herbs, vineyards and wine?
So did over 3,000 people last year. Created as a means to support the economic activity of small family farms, this self-guided tour brings joy and support to the farmers and to the visitors who gain front-row access to farms that are not always open to the public.
Purchase a $15 ticket for your entire carload for both days at kawvalleyfarmtour.com. There, you will see an online map of all the farms and heritage sites to plan your tour. Then, at your first farm stop, you will pick up a color guidebook with a list of all the stops.
