FosterAdopt Connects Back to School Drive

INDEPENDENCE, Mo. — As students across the region prepare to head back to the classroom, FosterAdopt Connect is rallying the community together to help ensure children and teens impacted by foster care have the supplies they need to start the school year with confidence.

FosterAdopt Connect’s annual Back-to-School Drive will take place on August 1, 2026, from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. The pickup location for school supplies will be announced later.

The organization is currently accepting both monetary and in-kind donations to help fill backpacks and equip students for a successful year of learning. Community members can donate school supplies or make financial contributions by mail at:

Donations are also accepted in person at the same address during regular business hours, Monday through Friday. Supporters can additionally contribute online through the Amazon Wishlist, online donation form, or by creating a Facebook Fundraiser.

In addition to donations, FosterAdopt Connect is seeking volunteers to help make the Back-to-School Drive a success. Volunteer opportunities begin on July 7, 2026, and registration is already open. Individuals, families, and community groups are encouraged to sign up early to secure their preferred volunteer shifts.
