Family-focused nature adventure at our Fungus Festival at George Owens Nature Park in Independence, MO. Learn how to find mushrooms growing in our area and which ones are safe to eat. Kids can enjoy a free kids’ craft and activities. This free community event will have kids and adults learning about mushrooms!
Want even more mushroom fun? Register for a guided hike through our nature trails to discover mushrooms growing at George Owens Nature Park. The guided hike begins at 2 p.m. and is $10.
