KC Family Bike Ride

KC Family Bike Ride creates a chill environment where families can ride bikes safely together without limits on ages or ability. This is a no-drop, 3-mile ride from Brookside Park to KC Bier Co along the traffic-free Trolley Track Trail. These rides are “no-drop” which means no one is left behind. There is a ride leader and a “sweep” who stays with the slowest members of the group. No pressure!

These slow rides encourage everyone to get on their bikes! We take the pace of the slowest rider even if they are on a stride bike. The route is very flat, and designed for families to choose the distance that works for them. The group typically hangs at KC Bier Co for a pretzel or two. Ride back at your leisure (or whenever you have to book it back for nap time).

Meet at the Brookside Park baseball diamond (56th & Brookside) at 10am.

All wheels welcome:
Adults & kids on bikes
Bikes with training wheels
Strider bikes
e-Bikes*
Cargo bikes
Bike trailers
Scooters & strollers welcome but may have trouble on the crushed gravel trail.

*All classes of e-eike are welcome but they must have functional pedals, aka not be an e-moto. Riders are expected to act responsibly at all times.
