Touch-a-Truck

The City of Leawood invites families, neighbors, and vehicle enthusiasts of all ages to a FREE Touch-a-Truck event on Thursday, September 11, 2025, from 4 to 7 p.m at Leawood City Park.

This free, family-friendly event gives attendees an up-close look at a wide variety of impressive vehicles, including fire trucks, snowplows, police cars, racecars, and even military vehicles. Visitors can climb aboard, snap photos, and explore the equipment that helps keep our community safe, connected, and moving.

In addition to the vehicles, guests can enjoy food trucks, music, and photo opportunities throughout the evening. A special sensory-friendly hour will be offered from 4 to 5 p.m., featuring a quieter environment with no honking, sirens, or loud music—perfect for children and individuals who benefit from a calmer experience.
