Runners at the 5K Home Run in 2019.
This race is perfect for seasoned racers, walkers and those who've never run or even walked 3.1 miles. Grab your strollers and favorite pets on a leash -- they're welcome! Sarah Plake, KSHB-TV 41 news reporter, will emcee the event. We'll have bounce houses and other free kids' activities on site, too!
Virtual participants can complete their 5K anytime, anywhere from May 24-30. You can even track your mileage over the week to total a 5K. (Try a nature walk with the kids!)
All participants receive a race T-shirt. Medals will be awarded for the top male and female overall and master’s (40+) finishers, and the top 3 male and female finishers in these age groups: 10 & under, 11-14, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-59, 60-69 and 70+. Virtual participants can submit their race photos to be recognized in a variety of creative categories.
$30 per person. Teams of four or more people can register to receive a $5 discount per person for either the in-person or virtual event. Teams can be a mix of in-person and virtual participants.
