Amazing Brain Exhibit Opening
Join Grandview students as they see their $1 million-dollar exhibit at Science City for the very first time. In November of 2017, students of the Grandview C-4 FOCUS program won the grand prize in Burns & McDonnell Battle of the Brains competition. Since then, the students have been working with professionals at Burns & McDonnell and Science City to design, build and transform their classroom inspiration into Science City’s largest indoor exhibit: The Amazing Brain.
Unlike any other in Kansas City, The Amazing Brain is a vibrant, thought provoking-exhibit that explores the body’s command center, where it does everything from forming memories to feeling emotions. Experience 14 unique exhibit pieces designed to exercise the three-pound organ in your head – balancing, sniffing, hanging, lying, playing and much more.
This must-see grand opening event will feature the grand prize-winning students and teachers, Grandview’s drumline, men’s choir, cheerleaders, indoor pyrotechnics and more.
