Brick Works: A Kid Friendly Family Focused Service Event
to
Hollis Renewal Center Kansas Avenue, Picnic Shelter, Kansas City, Missouri 66111
WHAT IS HOLLIS BRICKWORKS?
We are introducing something new this summer, called BrickWorks. Through out the summer we are inviting families to help us give back, and experience the joy of working together as a community to serve others. We are partnering with the The Giving Brick, which is a Kansas City based non-profit that collects used LEGO bricks, repackages sets, and gives them children served by CASA of Jackson County.
During our BrickWorks service hour, we will sort through donated LEGO bricks and break apart already assembled LEGO pieces. At the conclusion of the hour, all will be treated to popsicles. All attendees are also welcome to bring sack lunches, and explore the trails & hills of Hollis, play a game of GAGA ball, or sand volleyball.
WHO CAN ATTEND? IS THERE A FEE?
This is a FREE kid-friendly event, as well as a kid-at-heart event. All ages are welcome. This includes preschool kiddos. Parents, required to stay with kiddos ages 10 & under.
WHAT SHOULD WE BRING?
If you would like to stay for a picnic lunch, after the service activity, feel free to bring a sack lunch. We will be providing popsicles for all volunteers, and will have water available. If you plan on hiking the hills, we do recommend bringing bug spray.
WHERE DOES THIS HAPPEN?
This service project will take place in the Picnic Shelter at Hollis Renewal Center. We are located just south of the Kansas Speedway. Exit I-70, at the 110th Street exit and head south and follow the signs
