The Annual Children's Small Mall will be held on Sat. Dec. 7, 9AM to 5PM and Sun. Dec. 8, 10AM to 4 PM. This fun-filled event is for children 3 to 13 years old to do their own holiday shopping for family, friends and teachers all within a supervised setting. Gifts are priced at $5 or $7 each and complementary gift wrapping keeps purchases hidden from curious eyes. Children love this event as it allows them to choose something they think their loved ones will want without the presence of a parent and the gift comes from the heart. For the first time shoppers it is important to know what to expect so our "Head Elf" explains the process. Prior to the child entering the shopping area, a gift list is completed by the parent with names, ages and dollar amount for each gift on the child's list. Our volunteer elves guide each shopper into the shopping area where gifts are arranged according to category and price. With purchases, each child receives a free ride on the 1913 carousel, a bag of Magic Reindeer Food, access to the Kid's Crafts Room and holiday movies. Parents, while waiting for your little shoppers enjoy a complimentary cup of hot chocolate and browse through the gifts, crafts and baked goods available for purchase.
