Conservation Lecture Series: Polar Bears
The Kansas City Zoo has partnered with Polar Bears International (PBI) to take a more active role in polar bear conservation. This robust program will serve the polar bear population and the visitors of our Zoo equally. Through this partnership, we support PBI and its efforts to learn about bears in the wild and to teach the rest of the world about the effects of climate change. Zoo staff members also participate in the Climate Alliance Program located in Churchill, Manitoba, Canada in order to gain first-hand knowledge of tactics and strategies that can be relayed back to the citizens of Kansas City.
All lectures begin at 1:00pm in the Lobby Auditorium and are free with Zoo admission or FOTZ membership.
