Country Club Plaza Easter Bunnies & Animals
Country Club Plaza 41st and Wyandotte, Kansas City, Missouri
Country Club Plaza springs to life as the famed Plaza bunnies and wonderland animals make their annual return to Kansas City. The iconic statues are part of Country Club Plaza’s springtime transformation into an Easter Wonderland – a nostalgic tradition that dates back nearly 100 years.
The colorful, oversized bunnies – Amy, Bess, Ellyn, Kate, Sue, Brian, Lee, Peter and Nicholas – made their Plaza debut in 1931 and return each year to signal the changing seasons. Accompanied by eight wonderland animals including a pelican, a turtle and swans, the bunnies will adorn the Plaza’s courtyards and street corners through April 8.
In honor of the Plaza bunnies, Country Club Plaza will make a monetary donation to the Missouri House Rabbit Society. The nonprofit organization has saved more than 2,000 rabbits in the Kansas City Metropolitan area and is dedicated to educating residents about proper rabbit care and adoption.
A popular attraction among Kansas Citians and visitors alike, guests are encouraged to share their photos exploring the Plaza’s Easter display and more by tagging @countryclubplaza and using the hashtags #PlazaBunnies and #OnThePlaza.
