Visitors enjoy learning how syrup is made from our sorghum crop.
Join us as we bring in the sorghum! Learn about harvesting, processing, and making sorghum into syrup. Visit the Mahaffie 1865 farmhouse and see chuckwagon cooking demonstrations. Regular site admission applies and daily visitors do not need to pre-register. Girl Scouts and Boy Scouts will earn a special one of a kind Mahaffie patch. Cost is $7/scout and includes patch, additional siblings, ages 5-11 are $5.. Scouts can register at www.mahaffie.org.
