The Barbie Doll has been an object of controversy since her very first appearance at the International Toy Fair in 1959. Sixty years later, she continues to delight children and worry adults. We are excited to host M.G. Lord, author of "Forever Barbie: An Unauthorized Biography of a Real Doll." Lord, an investigative journalist and writing professor at USC, has appeared in the recent Netflix and Hulu documentaries on the doll. Join us as Lord discusses the complex role Barbie plays in the feminine experience. A light lunch will be provided.
