At Girls on the Run, we inspire girls to live a joyful, healthy, confident life, using a fun, experience-based curriculum which creatively integrates running. Over our 10-week season, thousands of girls across Kansas City are mentored by our volunteer coaches, learning & building life skills as they train for our 5K!

This is a family-friendly, community event that celebrates all of the hard work of our amazing girls, coaches, teachers, parents and community members!

In Kansas City, 50% of the girls who participate in Girls on the Run programming receive a scholarship. Your race registration fee will directly support a Kansas City girl to participate in Girls on the Run!

Interested in participating in our 5K as a running buddy? Register to run alongside a Girls on the Run program participant!

All runners, community members and families welcome. All 5K participants will also have access to the Fun Zone, activities including: face painting, colored hair spray, our gratitude garden, photos at the selfie station, dancing with the DJ, and local Kansas City vendors!
