Summer Sip & Shop is Goodwill's first ever community event encouraging all moms, dads, grandparents, and friends to take a night off and come sip & shop with us! We will have wine pours from nearby Holy-Field Vineyard and Winery; along with appetizers and crafts. Tickets are only $10 and include a $5 off coupon on any in-store purchase that's $10 or more.
A portion of the proceeds will benefit six GoodWORKS Career Resource Centers, which connect job seekers in the Greater Kansas City community with FREE individualized job search and employment related assistance. Resources include job posting information, computers & Internet access, phones, fax, copiers & printers as well as a resource library of social and community services.
A Goodwill career professional is available to assist with job exploration, resume preparation, online job listing navigation, online applications, as well as the use of job search tools and much more.
Goodwill of Western Missouri & Eastern Kansas is a 501 (c) (3) nonprofit agency whose mission is to empower people with disadvantages and different abilities to earn and keep employment through individualized programs and services. In 2015, nearly 1.5 million purchases and 450,000 donations funded our mission. 90¢ of every dollar Goodwill spends supports the mission locally with programs like Quest Academy, which gives urban youth with disadvantages and different abilities a real-life work experience and soft skills to enter the workforce, GoodWORKS Career Resource Centers, which provide free career exploration assistance and is open to the public, and the Career Impact Program that pairs individuals with different abilities with career navigators and career coaches to succeed in the workplace.
