Great Pumpkin Smash at the Zoo
Our animals are getting into the post-Halloween fun by crushing, kicking, bouncing and even eating big orange pumpkins! Join us for the Great Pumpkin Smash on Saturday, November 3 and Sunday, November 4. From some of our smallest animals, like golden lion tamarins, all the way to the biggest, elephants and rhinos, will be enjoying delectable gourd enrichment this weekend.
Smashes will be at scheduled times from 9:30am to 3 pm.
On Saturday we kick off the festivities with Tropics animals at 9:30 am, followed by orangutans and river otters at 10 am, dingoes at 11 am, elephants at 11:30 am, rhinos at 12:30 pm, chimpanzees at 1 pm, red river hogs at 2 pm, and tigers at 3 pm.
On Sunday, the Discovery Barn animals start the smashes at 9:30 a.m. followed by langurs at 10 am, hippo at 11 am, elephants at 11:30 am, African animals near lions at noon, gorillas at 1 pm, rhino hornbills at 1:30 pm, baboons at 2 pm, and red pandas at 2:30 pm.
