Helicopter Day
Helicopter Day sponsored by Midwest Medical Transportation will be held May 26, 2018 at the Strategic Air Command & Aerospace Museum from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Helicopters begin landing promptly at 10 a.m. and visitors can watch while these choppers fly over the horizon and land right in front of them. Law enforcement pilots join commercial and private helicopter pilots and the Nebraska National Guard will land first with a UH-72 Lakota, UH-60 Black Hawk, and CH-47 Chinook. After all helicopters land, spectators can visit with helicopter pilots, including medical and law officials, about their careers and get a firsthand view of each aircraft. Helicopter rides will be offered through Galaxy Enterprises and cost $60.00 per person for cash or $65.00 per person if using a credit card. Reservations are taken the day of the event.
Inside the Museum will be a drone workshop, family friendly activities and make-and-take projects! The Museum also has a Children’s Learning Center with 10 interactive displays, a Black Holes exhibit, and thrilling simulator rides.
Price: $12/adult, $6/child
