From 4:00-6:00 pm the observatory will be open to the public for this family friendly event! Learn more about astronomy and how you can study it as an amateur astronomer. You can start with us!
• Have a look through telescopes equipped with solar filters!
• Take a photo with Powell Observatory's 30-foot Ruisinger telescope
• Experience a solar system walk
• Space-themed face painting
• Create your own rotating star chart
• Observe a comet making demonstration
If you have children in your life, this event is the perfect day to introduce them to the magic of astronomy!
