Join us for this free, day-long celebration of our community’s trails, parks, and recreational spaces. Take advantage of free admission to the Shawnee Mission Park Beach, which will be open from noon - 6 p.m. At the Shawnee Mission Park Marina, enjoy free one-hour pedal boat, kayak, and paddleboard rentals from 10 am to 6:30 pm. Availability is limited and advance reservations are highly encouraged. Reservations can be made online up to seven days in advance. Concessions will be available for purchase at the Shawnee Mission Park Beach House. The event is being held in conjunction with National Trails Day and coincides with JCPRD’s annual free fishing weekend when both Kansas and district fishing and boating permits are waived.
