Join us for this free, day-long celebra­tion of our community’s trails, parks and recreational spaces. Enjoy a wide variety of activities for the entire family throughout Shawnee Mission Park and along the adjoining Streamway trail. Take advantage of free admission to the beaches at Shawnee Mission and Kill Creek parks from noon to 6 pm. Enjoy free half-hour pedal boat, kayak, and paddleboard rentals at the marinas in Shawnee Mission Park from 10 am to 7 pm and free half-hour pedal boat, canoe, and kayak rentals at the marina in Kill Creek Park from 1 pm to 5 pm. Concessions will be available at Shelter #3 in Shawnee Mission Park 10:30 am to 2 pm. The event is being held in conjunction with National Trails Day and coincides with JCPRD’s annual free fish­ing weekend when both Kansas and District fishing and boating permits are waived.
