10.18 Strategy
Summer of Love Children's Parade & Festival
On August 7th, 2021, 10.18 Strategy, in partnership with the Build-A-Bear Foundation and other community organizations, will be hosting a Children’s Parade and Festival in the parking lot of Evangel Church at 9:00AM. This family-friendly, public event is meant to bring together the entire KC metro community to celebrate the lives of local children who have suffered the horrors of abuse and neglect and the courageous caregivers who provide them safety.
Victimized children will receive gifts of comfort and will be offered the opportunity to be the stars of the parade as our community surrounds, celebrates, and cheers for them. This can make a life-changing impact! Many victimized children have never been told they are valuable, wanted, or important to their community. This is the opportunity for us to show them them that KC cares!
Everyone can be part of this event! Families are encouraged to come and cheer for the parade then stay for the festival and activities. There will be bounce houses, food trucks, first responders, face-painting, and a variety of activities for families to enjoy. There is no admission fee, but there will be opportunities to donate on-site. Foster/adoptive families must pre-register to be part of the parade and receive gifts of comfort. More information and details about this event can be found on our website.
